May powder

Winters follow each other and are not alike. We had no snow during Christmas and we received good fresh powder in may. After several days of rain in Annecy we decided to go to aiguille du Midi with Christophe Frendo and Guillaume Avrisani. We started with the classical Cosmique couloir : 1000 meters, 45°. It wasn't a good idea, the snow transformed the day before and was delicate to ski.

However the scenery from the couloir is beautiful and we admired the normal ski route of Mont Blanc from the Grands Mulets and North ridge of Dome du Gouter that we skied some days ago.

Back to Plan de l'Aiguille we met Alexandre Pitin and Aymeric Farrouilles, we join them for the Col du Plan : 800 meters, 50° . It was a good choice : perfect powder snow in the first slope, the hard in the couloir and spring snow at the bottom.

A good day of big ski by gravity with friends which is only possible with aiguille du Midi...
